Furious 7

Screen Design | Compositing

Furious 7, part of the wildly popular franchise, Fast and Furious, boosted its way into Cantina Creative’s talented team of designers and compositors.   One of the many tasks was to help design and composite one of the film’s iconic plot points, the “God’s Eye.”

Working with Director James Wan, Cantina was tasked to design and develop this all-encompassing, all-seeing hacker’s paradise. “God’s Eye” set the stage for the film as they battled over access to any camera feed, any online device, while stealthily geo-tracking their targets.

God’s Eye

Cantina helped bring to life this surveillance juggernaut, which was critical in helping tell the film’s story while helping set up the franchise’s next film, Fate of the Furious. Cantina’s target was clear, to design the foundation of a hacker’s software, connected with dynamic graphics and stylized animation which embodied the epitome of what we now know as, “God’s Eye.”

“I don't have friends, I got family.”

- Dominic Toretto

Monitor Graphics

In addition defining the aesthetic and visual functionality of the God’s Eye, Cantina was also tasked to create various motion graphic segments for monitors throughout the world of Furious 7. These sequences included a mission briefing and a 3D mobile game to name a few.
