Fly Me to the Moon
Motion graphics | VFX | Compositing
Directed by Greg Berlanti, Fly Me to the Moon explores the tumultuous relationship between marketing specialist Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) and straitlaced NASA launch director Cole Davis (Channing Tatum) during the historic 1960s space race. Working with Sean Devereaux, Cantina was tasked with creating a handful of montages that mimicked the news broadcasts of the day, crystallizing the space race between America and USSR. Nate Jess supervised and designed seamless transitions utilizing news print textures, animation techniques and re-creating historically accurate 1960’s graphics.
