Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Concept Design | HUD Design | VFX | Compositing | Title Design
The Octobot and associated designs were based on retro / analog technology so we explored multiple iterations of how this technology would look and function. The retro look extended to the Manta HUD which was fun to develop looks and animations for. For the Main Titles, we created a new camera move from the WB logo along with including CG schools of fish and underwater bubbles.
Cantina was excited about continuing our collaboration with James Wan on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The design, look dev, and final shot work that we did on Aquaman was some of our most distinctive work, so we eagerly jumped at the opportunity to continue that work on the sequel including updating the Main Titles with new CG elements. We initially started look dev on the Octobot, Manta HUD, and Xebellian Tech.
